Why do film extruders and converters choose Enercon surface treaters?
In my two plus years at Enercon, I've been amazed at our customers' loyalty, which I attribute to two key factors: Performance and Support. One converter from the Midwest recently told us about their experience with an imported European corona treater that came with an OEM line: "The design was not robust, and we needed to replace electrodes every time there was a high voltage arc. That is never a problem with the Enercon design."
When it came to support, the same Midwest Converter told us: "When we needed service on the European treater, it was never easy. Meanwhile, with Enercon the response is always prompt and helpful. I can't speak more highly of our experience."
What makes the Enercon equipment so reliable?
It starts with our power supplies. They are rock solid when it comes to reliability. Their base design has stood the test of time, and our engineers have added high value features over the years that help film extruders and converters optimize their operations. In fact, they are so reliable many of our customers will connect an Enercon power supply to a different brand corona treater to take advantage of the reliability.
So, an Enercon power supply will work with other brands of corona treaters?
They certainly will. In some cases, a film extruder or converter may want to upgrade their corona treater, but lack the budget to replace the entire station. In these situations, we can provide them with a power supply that will bridge the gap until the budget is approved to replace the station as well. At that point, they simply use the newer Enercon power supply with their new Enercon treater station.
How is Enercon support different than other companies?
Many manufacturers claim to have great support, but support can mean a lot of different things. Enercon provides comprehensive customer support. Does Enercon offer 24/7 emergency support? Absolutely. Do we maintain a large selection of critical parts in inventory for emergency shipping? Absolutely. Do we offer free technical support over the phone? Absolutely. Our service engineers are available in person to help our customers at every stage, from installation and application troubleshooting to maintenance and more. Nobody does service better than Enercon.
In fact, let me share another example from the Midwest customer referenced earlier. Their Packaging Operations Manager told us that he likes the fact that Enercon treaters are easy to maintain and appreciates the support we provide. "It's not only easy to maintain, but Enercon essentially gives their training away with their free webinars. I have all my maintenance personnel attend the events. We don't have to create or provide additional training."
