Hazen Metalized Substrate Receives Color-Logic Certification

WEST CHESTER, OH | Color-Logic has certified Hazen Transfer Metalized C1S Foiljet Digital 10-point substrate for use with HP Indigo 7000 and 5000 Series digital cut sheet presses. Founded in 1925 and based in Holyoke, MA,Hazen is a paper converter specializing in the creation of holographic originations, film, foil and paper laminations, transfer metallizing, gravure printing, specialty coating and rotary embossings.

Announcing the certification, Color-Logic chief technology officer Richard Ainge commented: “HP Indigo users have been using metalized substrate for some time on label and packaging presses such as the WS6000 and ws4500, but qualification of Hazen Transfer Metalized C1S Foiljet Digital 10-point substrate means Indigo cut sheet presses that use white ink can now utilize the Color-Logic Process Metallic Color System as well.  The Hazen substrate was tested by the RIT Printing Applications Laboratory and certified for use with the HP Indigo 7000 and 5000 Series digital presses in January 2011.”
