  • The Specialty Inks Group of Sun Chemical, Parsippany, NJ, reports an increase in prices by 6%-10% on all products sold in North America effective September 1, 2008. The company says the increases are directly and indirectly related to crude oil increases as well as large swings in the manufacturing capacity of some of the primary raw material manufacturers.

  • Air Motion Systems relocates from Arvada, CO, to River Falls, WI. The 36,000-sq-ft facility doubles the size of the company's existing operation in Arvada and more than triples its production capacity. The new building was designed and built to be eligible for “green” certification based on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

  • QuadTech, Sussex, WI, acquires Vigitek, a Limerick, Ireland, designer and manufacturer of 100% print inspection technology. Vigitek will function as its own entity, operating as a subsidiary of QuadTech.

  • Kama, Dresden, Germany, reports the newly founded Kama France will be responsible for sales and marketing of the full range of company die-cutters and folder/gluers for the French graphics industry.
