Bobst Installs Die-Cutter & Folder/Gluer at Demo Ctr.

ROSELAND, NJ | Bobst Group North America has announced the installation at the its West Coast Training and Demonstration Ctr. of a Commercial 106 E Autoplaten die-cutter, specifically designed to run light weight papers, and Visionfold 110-A2 CS folder/gluer, offering a wide range of folding capabilities from straight-line through crash lock cartons. The center, which opened in August 2005, was formed in partnership with Advanced Die Supplies and is located in Advanced Die’s Santa Fe Springs, CA, facility.
“The Commercial 106 E and the Visionfold 110 are the latest generation of Bobst technology,” stated Chris Raney, VP Folding Carton, Bobst Group North America. “Customers can observe and examine these machines operating first hand so they can feel more confident when making a purchase. Having them available in Santa Fe Springs gives West Coast customers a convenient and cost-effective alternative to traveling across the country for demonstrations or training.”
The Commercial 106E can die-cut materials from .004 in. to .160 in. thick, including a wide range of paper, solid board, and corrugated paperboard. It also die-cuts sheets up to 413⁄4 x 29 1⁄8 in., allowing it to accept sheets from the largest 40-in. and newer 41-in. printing presses. A minimum sheet size of 11 3⁄4 x 13 3⁄4 in. can also be accommodated. It can be configured to register sheets from both sides for greater versatility and has a top speed of 7,700 sheets/hr.
Visionfold models (50, 80, 110) reach a maximum speed of 1,148 fpm and can fold and glue a variety of materials, including carton and solid board up to 123 lbs/msf, N-, F-, and E-flute corrugated paperboard as well as many synthetic materials. A range of standard and optional features allow the Visionfold to be configured to meet exact requirements.
To further enhance support for Bobst customers in the West-Coast region, Martial Duperrut will be responsible for managing the field service activities in the region.
