Carton Converting System Is for In-Line Finishing

CINCINNATI, OH–Schober USA introduces a new converting system based on RSM & PBO designs that allows for the in-line finishing of products such as trays, inner frames, folding cartons, and more. A preprinted roll is accurately re-registered, creased, and die-cut. Discrete waste partials are securely removed. The discrete blanks are then transferred in register and further processed, for example, in a gluer folder/sealer, delivered and stacked. For further productivity improvements, a nonstop unwind can be added. Splices are detected and removed automatically. Company’s various magnetic, solid, or segmented die-cutting and creasing technologies can be incorporated, depending on product requirements. To compensate for wear or material variations, the cutting gap microadjustment is integrated. Products with repeats as small as 3 in. through 24 in. and more can be processed at speeds of 500 ft/min and beyond, depending if in-line or off-line operation is required.
