Three New Titan Slitter/Rewinders Going to CTP flexibles
- Published: January 16, 2012
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA | CTP flexibles, a converter of flexible packaging materials, is starting the new year with three new 1,350-mm-wide Titan ER610 compact slitter/rewinders. The first will be installed during January with the second and third machines following soon.
“We had already installed [two Titan slitters] during 2010,” says CTP managing director Gary Seale, “which gave us every confidence to invest again with Titan. For our production requirements, this slitter really is the perfect solution.”
Slitting systems available for the ER610 include shear knives, rotary razor (burst) or razor slitting in air or groove. Optional features include an anti-static control system, laser (line) core positioning and a new option for shaftless unwind roll pick-up from floor. This option is included in the technical configuration of the three new units for CTP flexibles and will be retrofitted to the two existing ER610 models installed last year.
