Hot Melt Adhesives Now a Recycling Solution at Channeled Resources

CHICAGO, IL | The Channeled Resources Group has added hot melt adhesives to the solutions it offers for recycling and second use of the components of p-s label stocks. Sourced directly from adhesive manufacturers or from pressure-sensitive laminators, these adhesives can easily and safely have a useful and cost-effective second life, the company says. Channeled Resources established a special unit last year that is dedicated to collecting, storing, and shipping hot melt adhesives for second use.

Calvin Frost, CEO, Channeled Resources Group, says, “It makes sense to close the pressure-sensitive components loop. We already recover and reuse surplus facestocks and release liners. Adding hot melt adhesives to the equation enables us to offer the market the chance to create economical pressure-sensitive laminates. Hot melts have a long shelf life and deliver low-cost, general-purpose performance. And with little or no solvent content, they are safe to handle and transport.”
