Pregis Hexacomb, Deerfield, IL, introduces Hexacomb Billboard, an all-paper, honeycomb-based pallet alternative that incorporates an additional outer edge wrap. It consists of kraft paper layers laminated to a clay-coated (white) outer surface onto which logos, brands, store names, etc., can be flexo-printed in a repeating pattern. “These pallets offer a guaranteed way to turn a pallet into a ‘display’ at the retail level,” says Bill Boyer, associate director of customer marketing at Ralston Foods. Each pallet can handle static loads up to 6,000 lb but weighs just 8-10 lb, as compared to a typical 40-lb wood pallet, positively impacting transportation costs. Visit www.hexacomb.com.
