HAMBURG & NUERTINGEN, GERMANY; SHEBOYGAN, WI | E.C.H. Will, Pemco, and Kugler-Womako, three companies of the Körber PaperLink Group, showcased new solutions and further developments for the Asian market at the Asian Paper trade show in Bangkok on April 21—23.
E.C.H. Will and Pemco have developed a new folio-size sheeter that addresses the special needs of the Asian paper industry. The folio-size sheeter with working widths from 1800 to 2400 mm has a modular construction to meet customized specifications. Its expandability supports the extension of the customer’s product range at any time, hence opening up new markets. For example, the machine can be fitted later with the patented, proven PRO technology from E.C.H. Will for mark-free sheeting of sensitive coated paper and board grades.
Pemco’s new Technical Improvement Program (T.I.P.) for its Wrapmatic GRM folio-size ream wrappers feature specially developed modernization programs that allow older systems to be equipped with the latest technology used in new machines. It is said this enables the end product quality, the production output, or the performance capability of the machines to be increased, for instance. The T.I.P. approach, says the company, is well-established in cut-size technology, is an important criterion in successful lifecycle management of production lines.
Kugler-Womako addressed the labeling industry as well as stationery manufacturers with its LabelCut precision cutting machine used to process pre-printed rolls into wet-glue labels for the beverage industry, for example. The tried-and-tested binding technology for writing pads and wire or plastic-bound products from Kugler-Womako supports companies in further optimizing their production processes and to manufacture end products with export quality.
