Zumbiel Packaging Purchases Manroland UV Press

Hebron, KY | Zumbiel Packaging is expanding its Hebron, KY, facility with the installation of a highly automated manroland R900 large format UV press and a 180,000-ft addition to support its Consumer Packaging Div. The addition will provide room for the new press, current equipment moving in from the existing Norwood, OH, facility, as well as future investments.

A Zumbiel press selection team ultimately decided upon a 56-in. ROLAND 907-6 press with an aqueous anilox coater. The press is prepared for UV printing with several interdeck UV modules. It also includes a Telepresence remote diagnostics module, OK Balance, ColorPilot and printnet. The expansion will be completed and the new press operational in the fourth quarter of this year.
