FORT MILL, SC | The Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters & Laminators  (AIMCAL) partners with Paper, Film & Foil Converter and the European Metallizers Assn. to host a FREE webinar at 11 A.M. EDT on “Vacuum Deposit Barrier Coatings,” presented by Dr. Charles Bishop.

In theory a thin coating of glass or metal should be a perfect barrier, says Dr. Bishop, but they are not. In this webinar Dr. Bishop will look at the reasons why the coatings contain defects and reveal alternatives to reduce the defects. As the biggest problem usually involves pinholes that primarily relate to the quality of the incoming polymer film, the basis of the presentation will concern this subject.
