Omet Sponsors Open House in Italy

WEST HARTFORD, CT | Omet is holding an open house from April 28—30, 2010, in Lecco, Italy, for existing and potential customers who operate of the label and packaging markets. The aim is to offer new product solutions for processible materials that will allow converters to beat the recession. There will be live machine demos of Omet’s presses, along with complementary equipment from Omet’s leading technology partners.
In addition to flexo printing, Omet has researched and developed other print technologies, such as screen, rotogravure, offset and digital, which can be combined as an inline printing process on a modular platform. This combination of processes allows the converter to print and manufacture products of many kinds from a variety of materials, and include finishing applications such as hot foil, cold foil, and hologram application in single pass production while significantly reducing costs.
The forthcoming Open House, says Omet sources, has a very specific aim: to show attendees the wide range of materials and products that can be manufactured on Omet machines; to show quality and innovation; and to offer solutions for overcoming today’s difficult market conditions. Supporting the short but informative briefings will be Omet's latest high-tech presses. On working demonstration will be: the X-Flex, a top end technological press for narrow web label printing; the Varyflex-F1, a combination print and finishing platform for packaging production; and the brand new medium width VaryFlex 850 (33-in. press), which opens new and interesting possibilities for those wanting to invest in packaging production.
