Pentawards Accepts Entries for Worldwide Packaging Design Competition

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM | Pentawards announces a call for entries between April 5--May 21, 2010, claimed the first world competition devoted exclusively to packaging design. The competition is open to packaging designers, brand owners, packaging suppliers worldwide in 44 categories divided into five major sectors, including Food, Beverages, Body, Other Markets, and Luxury.  A chairperson will head a judging panel comprising 12 international professionals from the packaging design field to select Pentawards for Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and final top Diamond levels. A special Avery Dennison-sponsored prize will also be awarded for wines, champagnes, and spirits.

Registration is online for all packaging, or line of packaging, created or placed on the market since January 1, 2009, anywhere in the world. The Pentawards ceremony will be presented on Sept. 30, 2010, in the European Pavilion of the Expo Shanghai 2010.

Entry fees are the following:
• Early Bird submission are charged €150 April 5—16.        
• Full submissions are charged €195 Aril 17—May 14.
• Last Chance submissions are charged €225 May 15—May 21.
