Free Shrink Sleeve Seminar at Clemson Univ.

CLEMSON, SC | The Sonoco Packaging Inst. at Clemson Univ. will host a free shrink sleeve seminar, titled “Think Before You Shrink.” Joint sponsors OMET (featuring the Varyflex Gearless-Shaftless-Sleeve press) and ESKO Artworks (featuring 3D design in Illustrator using Studio & Visualizer) will offer hands-on training on March 29—to March 1 in conjunction with Karlville Development (demonstrating its new K1 Seamer, and Tornado Shrink Tunnel) as well as with the following suppliers:
• Harper—QD proofing system
• Environmental Ink—Fastmatch color managment system
• Flint Group—Ultra thin plates
• Anderson-Vreeland—Plate measurement devices
• Asahi Photoproducts—Water wash plate imaging system
• Klöckner Pentaplast—Shrink films
Speakers will include Ron Ryback of Ryback Consulting, who is an expert on the shrink film process and Will Schretzman of Verst Logistics Group, who is recognized for his expertise in the shrink decorating marketplace. Attendees can anticipate a hands-on demonstration of the entire shrink film decorating process.
A bonus event on March 31—April 1 will be presented by Clemson Univ. on Brand Color Management, also at the Sonoco Inst. of Packaging Design & Graphics.
