NEW YORK, NY | READY366’s President Susan Palombo, in cooperation with the IPA (Assn. of Graphic Solutions Providers), participated on a panel last week that delved into the environmental impact of sustainable design. Moderated by Trish Wales of Roloc color, the panel also included Amy Zettlemoyer-Lazar, packaging director of Sam’s Club and co-manager of WalMart’s Sustainability Value Network, and Tony Petrelli, of Cardpak.
The panel offered case studies on sustainable design and their respective companies' environmental initiatives. Details of how to access the archived video of this session and register for the complete series can be found at www.IPA.org/green.
During the August 27th webinar, Palombo focused her presentation on the importance of keeping the needs of consumers at the forefront of design development. Palombo reviewed the latest studies on consumer attitudes and perceptions concerning sustainability, and shared READY366's design principles for creating successful brands. Palombo also offered examples of a recent packaging redesign that significantly reduced environmental impacts. The webinar, the fourth in a series of six, is aimed at strategic decision makers looking to reduce costs and win business through their knowledge of sustainability.
"IPA launched its recent webinar series, Environmental Sustainability in the Premedia Arena, to focus not only on the greening of a creative, premedia or print operation, but to examine how these companies can help their clients make sustainable choices,” says IPA president Steve Bonoff. “In the fourth of our six-part series, Susan Palombo offered a terrific example of how forward-looking design agencies are utilizing their knowledge of sustainability to grow their businesses and add value to their clients.”
