CMM Appoints Coordinators of "Innovative Technology Centers"

TULSA, OK | Building on the success of the two new Technology Centers that debuted at CMM Intl. 2007, PennWell is adding a third Technology Center and has announced that three well-known industry authorities will serve as the technical coordinators.
The Flexible Packaging and Narrow-to-Mid-Web Technology Centers featured running equipment producing actual jobs on the show floor throughout the 2007 Show; they will be joined in 2009 by the new Folding Carton Technology Center that will be coordinated by industry veteran Fred Shapiro, who consults with companies worldwide and has worked closely with several of the leading industry associations. Jim Lepp, a 35-year veteran of the flexible packaging industry, will lead the Flexible Packaging Tech Center. He has held sales management positions with such equipment manufacturing companies as Webex, Paper Converting Machine Company, Chadwick Inc., and Machine Renovation Technology. He currently serves as the president of a used equipment brokerage and consulting firm, Lepp Associates, Inc.
Coordinating the expanded Narrow-to-Mid-Web Technology Center will once again be Vince DiTrolio, president and founder of DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. The 2009 edition has been expanded into a separate but adjoining Narrow-Web Tech Center and Mid-Web Tech Center. With almost two decades of experience in the flexographic printing industry, DiTrolio is widely recognized as one of the foremost authorities of flexo printing and education.
The DiTrolio Inst. has trained hundreds of press operators and managers and works closely with the Flexographic Technical Assn. and other leading trade associations to further flexo education. DiTrolio also writes for various industry publications and sits on several industry boards.
The biennial CMM Intl. Conference Exhibition is the world’s largest showcase and educational forum dedicated to the global converting and package printing industries.
