Dow Chemical Announces Hollow Plastic Pigment Latex Price Increase

MIDLAND, MI | The Dow Chemical Co. has announced price increases for all hollow plastic pigment latex products by $0.11/lb (dry); and for styrene acrylate and vinyl acrylate products by US $0.10/lb (dry) sold by Dow Emulsion Polymers to customers in the US and Canada serving the paper and paperboard industry. It is effective April 18, 2008, or as contracts permit.

The company says the price increase is required to help offset the continued rising costs of hydrocarbons, freight and raw materials, such as benzene, styrene and butadiene used to manufacture products.
