Oklahoma City, OK | Maxcess Intl., a supplier of engineered components for the web handling industry, announced the co-location of Maxcess Univ. Conference Week with CMM 2009 to create "valuable efficiencies for converters," according to a company press release. The decision to hold its annual week-long training event with CMM (June 2—4, 2009, in Rosemont, IL), explains Kasey Morales of Maxcess, "is intended to provide converters with even more access to intense, hands-on learning and create efficiencies for those who already plan to attend the trade show."
Maxcess Conference Week curriculum includes access to industry experts and an intensive view, says the company, of web handling from general theory to detailed application of technology. In the past, session content has included topics to help converters improve existing operations with a focus on the processes of tension control, slitting, guiding, and winding. The CMM/Maxcess event will offer extended breaks and group tours of the CMM exhibition floor to aid comprehension of key concepts to encourage learning.
Content for the University program incorporates the expertise of Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland in winding, slitting, guiding, and tension control product categories as well as other core industry technology.
