Martin Automatic Gives Labelexpo Asia a Thumbs Up

Rockford, IL | Martin Automatic reports that Labelexpo Asia in Shanghai exceeded expectations. "We believed this Labelexpo Asia 2007 was very fruitful and successful," declared Hope Hu, Sales Manager for Martin Automatic Asia Pacific. "Our booth was crowded much of the time with visitors interested in discussing automatic roll changing."
According to Hu, in addition to many visitors from China and nearby regions, "There were more visitors from outside Asia Pacific than 2005. These included converters and printers from as far away as South Africa, Pakistan, Iran, Mexico, Venezuela, Ivory Coast and Turkey. Clearly, just as label converting is a global industry, so this show is becoming a global exhibition."
Many visitors saw live demonstrations of the latest version of Martin’s STS automatic butt splicer and STR automatic turret rewind for narrow webs. The STS and STR feature advanced Martin Automatic roll changing technology designed to reduce waste and increase throughput. The compact design creates a minimum footprint making the STS and STRan ideal solution for both new and retrofitted installations, says the company.
After the exhibition, the STS splicer and STR rewind were delivered to CymMetrik, a leading label converter and multiple Martin user in Shanghai. Visitors were also able to see Martin’s automatic roll changers running on a press at the Labelmen booth.
With nearly 8,000 installations in over 50 countries, Martin Automatic is a global leader in high-performance splicers and rewinds. For more information contact David Ho at Martin Automatic Asia-Pacific or visit their web site.
