TLMI Technical Conference Now Slated for February 2002

CHICAGO, IL, USA—Originally slated for mid-September in Chicago, TLMI's Technical conference was postponed due to the September 11th terrorist attack. New dates for the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute's technical conference are February 10-12, 2002; the event will be held at the Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago.
"Lead, Follow or Lost: Keeping Up with Technoloy" is the theme of the two-day conference, which will focus on helping tag and label executives improve productivity and efficiency in a changing environment.
TLMI officials report they expect only a few minor changes to the original program (based on speaker availability). The conference will cover such topics as training and process improvement; digital printing; anilox rolls, specialty technologies; new technologies for narrow web converters; flexible packaging; folding cartons; prepress technology; and "revolutionary" adhesives and release materials.
Because many conference registrants chose to donate their original conference registration fee to the American Red Cross, TLMI president Mike Dowling says the organization was able to donate more than $5,000 on their behalf to support the Sept. 11th relief efforts.
Those wishing to attend TLMI's event, should call the organization at 630/357-9222 (or fax 630/357-0192); the conference's member registration fee is $350, while non-members can attend for $400.
