Man Roland Renews Vow to Xeikon

WESTMONT, IL -- Man Roland reports it will continue efforts to bring cost-effective digital printing to the market; the recent Xeikon acquisition by Punch International will help the co. accomplish this, the press mfr. adds. Under a recent agreement with Xeikon and its parent co. Punch, Man Roland reports it will continue to market and support DICOpress and DICOpack systems (the co.'s digital press offerings) built around the Xeikon print engine.

"Our new partnership with Xeikon and Punch will revitalize our efforts to help North American facilities fully capitalize on digital printing opportunities," says Yves Rogivue, Man Roland CEO. "Punch International manufactures products for some of the world's best-known high-tech brands, including Sony, Phillips, Panasonic, and agfa.com. Now the names DICOpress, DICOpack, and Man Roland can added to that list."

Man Roland says DICOpack brings the short-run, fast-turnaround capabilities of advanced digital color technology to packaging and label printers. "The digital changeover "DICOpack" lives up to its name," says the mfr., "speeding from job to job in a matter of minutes. This makes the press ideal for just-in-time packaging and label work. For a low admission price, package and label printers get a high-performance digital press with all the options and features they need to move into new product offerings."

DICOpress, says Man Roland, provides high performance computer-to-press capabilities at an affordable price, giving printers a cost-effective way to handle one-on-one, variable data and short-run color projects. Man Roland adds the recently introduced DICOpage technology will be discontinued.
