Daetwyler Gets Clemson University Awards

HUNTERSVILLE, NC, USA—Max Daetwyler Corp. (MDC) reports it recently was presented with the Clemson University Graphic Communications Corporate Appreciation Award. According to MDC, the Corporate Appreciation Award is bestowed in recognition of commitment to long-term support of the Graphic Communications dept. at Clemson University; Clemson's program curriculum for graphic communications students includes training in all four of the major printing processes: gravure, flexography, offset lithography, and screen printing.

MDC garnered additional recognition for its participation in Clemson's Apprenticeship 2000 group of employers; Daetwyler was honored with the Outstanding Co-Op Employer of the Year for being a part of a group of employers in this program. Other companies associated with the apprenticeship program and receiving awards include: Julius Blum Inc., Ameritech Die & Mold Inc., Timken Co., and Sarstedt Inc.

According to MDC, the Apprenticeship 2000 program is a "learn while you earn" training program, which results in students earning their AAS degree in manufacturing technology while being paid to attend school and receive hands-on work experience in several specialized programs.
