Pitman Expands in West US

TOTOWA, NJ -- Pitman Co., the North American graphic arts supplier, recently announced a major expansion to the company's Western Region sales–distribution and support operation to increase service to its growing customer based throughout the western US. According to Pitman, branches have been added in Salt Lake City, UT, and in Denver, CO, bringing the total number of Pitman branches in the US to 22.

"We've seen significant growth in the graphics industry throughout our Western Region over the last few years," says Joe Demharter, Pitman president and CEO. "With the addition of these two important branches to our operations, [the company] is now even more strongly positioned in the region to serve the manufacturers we represent and our customers with outstanding independent expertise and full support in advanced technologies as well as traditional graphics systems and products."

In other company news: Marc Welch has been appointed to the position of Electronics Specialist in Pitman's Northeast Region. "[Now, Welch will] provide Pitman's customers in the six New England states with advanced consultative support in workflow planning and in the selection of systems that best serve their operating needs. He's based in the co.'s Taunton, MA, branch headquarters, and reports directly to Kevin McCarthy, Northeast Region Branch Manager.

Pitman company also has named Dave Archer as the Branch Mananger of the co.'s Hayward, CA, sales and distribution operations, which serves customers in Northern California and in Northern Nevada.
