W&H Corp. Celebrates 25th

LINCOLN, RI, USA—W&H Corp. reports it will celebrate the 25th year of its incorporation as a US company in early December this year. The Lincoln-based subsidiary of Windmüller & Hülscher, Lengerich, Germany, is a supplier of flexographic and gravure printing presses, blown and cast film extrusion systems, multiwall bag making machines, and form/fill/seal equipment for the flexible packaging industry throughout North America.

Founded in 1869, Windmüller & Hülscher first established its international presence by automating the production of paper bags, reports the company, and adds, since then, it's greatly expanded both its product line and global statures.

"In 1924, the 'Father of Flexography,'" says W&H, "H.H. Heinrich introduced the first W&H press to the US. [The company has continued with] a long list of industry firsts, including the Optifil automatic blown film die in 1988 and the Novaflex gearless direct drive in 1997."

According to W&H, it continues to expand its customer support in North America by maintaining a first-rate field service staff, offering around-the-clock assistance, including a unique, free-of-charge, 24-hr, 365-day-per-yr technical support service.
