Moving to Soft Proofs: RealTimeImage Gets GATF InterTech for Online Proofing Application

SAN BRUNO, CA, USA—RealTimeImage reports it has been recognized by GATF (Graphic Arts Technical Foundation) for its "innovative online proofing technology found in...RealTimeImage Express solution." The recognition, says the online and remote proofing solution provider, comes in the form of the distinguished 2003 GATF InterTech Technology Award. "'It will enable the industry's transition to soft proofing, not only for content proofing but also for contract color proofing,' noted a GATF award judge," states RealTimeImage's press release.

Customer nominations for RealTimeProof Express, says the co., included one from Ro Greene, manager of electronic services at IPC/Mailwell, who said in a letter to the judges: "I find RealTimeProof Express surpasses its own promise to reduce approval cycles to the bare minimum. My customers are proactively vocal about their new-found ability, traceable to RealTimeProof Express, to cut their costs while getting their materials out the door faster than ever."

The company also congratulates is partner, Kodak Polychrome Graphics for its receipt of the award for its Matchprint virtual proofing system, which RealTimeImage says is a joint venture with KP Graphics that includes a suite of web-based image viewing, collaboration, and approval tools from RealTimeImage.

About the InterTech Technology Award
GATF sponsors the award and coordinates the award process, but does not select the recipients. InterTech Technology Award recipients are chosen by an anonymous judging committee comprised of industry experts and users who are independent of GATF. Companies are not required to be GATF/PIA (Printing Industries of America Inc.) members to submit technologies for judging.
