PCMC In-Line Systems Flexo for Narrow Web Open House
February 18 - 19, 2002, Glory Road Mfg. Facility, Green Bay, WI, USA
GREEN BAY, WI, USA—Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) announces an upcoming two-day open house at its Glory Road facility. Company officials say the the event will focus on the introduction of new narrow web press technology; attendees will be able to view the latest in-line flexographic press from PCMC, Evolution.
PCMC, now the manufacturers of Webtron and ZIGZAG presses (PCMC acquired Webtron/ZIGZAG in early 2001), says the Evolution offers innovative features. "[It has] a unique "Deck x2" print deck design includes a rack-in/rack-out quick changeover system as well as superior print registration," says Lisa Prunty, PC Flexo marketing specialist. She adds the new press is available in widths from 18 in. to 30 in., can run to 750 fpm, and includes the company's award-winning eXtreme drying system. "We believe that a wide range of converters—whether they're running lottery tickets, labels, or flexible packaging—can use this equipment to increase their bottom lines," states Prunty.
The event also will include a demo of the X-10 in-line tag-and-label press. "This 10-inch-wide press is the newest generation of the familiar 650/750 line of Webtron presses and features more than 150 design enhancements," says PCMC.
