Trim- and Scrap-Handling System Manufacturer Precision AirConvey Breaks Sales Record

NEWARK, DE, USA—Despite the tough economic times over the last few years, Precision AirConvey says it has continued to follow its long-range strategy—to invest heavily in its research and development, hire skilled people, and provide technical sales training and internal technology upgrades. That strategy is paying off. According to the trim- and scrap-handling systems manufacturer, in August 2003, the company recorded US$1,074,298 in revenues, breaking its previous record of $1,042,474 set in December 2002. "The new record marks a 98 percent revenue increase over July 2003, and a 137 percent revenue increase over August 2002," states a Precision AirConvey press release. "The company already has eclipsed its annual revenues for 2002 by 15 percent and is projecting a 75 percent increase for the year 2003," adds the mfr.

Precision AirConvey says its strategic plan was developed by Tom Embley, CEO, and Larry Green, president, during the downturn of 2001 and was put into action in January 2003. "Precision AirConvey introduced five new products in the first eight months of 2003, enabling the company to serve new and existing markets more effectively," reports the company.

Embley also credits much of the OEM's success to his technical sales personnel and Precision AirConvey's intensive training program. "When the economy was slow and other people were cutting back, we felt there was opportunity and invested in ourselves," he says.
