- Published: April 11, 2025
Flexo Label Advantage Group LLC (FLAG) announced its upcoming April 2025 Lunch & Learn, taking place Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 PM EST. This high-impact session, titled “Variable Data Printing in Labels & Preparing for the Sunrise 2027,” will be presented by Michael Agness, EVP Americas at HYBRID Software.
As the label industry rapidly evolves, variable data printing (VDP) is becoming a major differentiator for converters. In this session, Michael will share how HYBRID Software’s customers are implementing VDP workflows today, and what that means for the future of production, personalization, and label automation.
This session will also spotlight the global barcode transformation initiative: GS1 Sunrise 2027, a major industry shift requiring the transition from traditional 1D barcodes to 2D codes on product packaging. FLAG Members will gain insight into how this change is expected to impact converters and what steps they can take now to stay ahead of the curve.
“This is a crucial topic that every converter should have on their radar,” said JC McKay, President of FLAG. “From production trends to industry-wide barcode shifts, this session will help our Members prepare for what’s next and make smarter, more informed decisions.”
FLAG Lunch & Learn sessions are exclusive to FLAG Members, delivering practical education, industry insights, and opportunities to connect directly with Vendor Partners and peers. Members also have access to the full FLAG Lunch & Learn library of over 50 sessions and growing within the FLAG Member Connections portal.
