TPSi Increases Finishing Workflow, Product Offerings with Rollem’s Insignia7H Die-Cutter and Dutch Cut Finishing System

Since 1975, TPSi, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has grown its business model and corresponding production equipment to adapt to an ever-evolving industry.

Challenge:

Seeking to streamline the production of their transactional statements, TPSI wanted to maximize sheet impositions and improve the cutting process for faster converting.

Solution:

Rollem International suggested they integrate the process with Rollem’s Dutch-Cut Finishing System. “Rollem’s Dutch-cut System with its dual cutting configuration has been fantastic. Our B2 sheets of 5-up transactional statements are processed with maximum efficiency and ease of operation delivering five collated stacks of bills ready for mail inserting systems,” Fadel Iskander, vice president of TPSi, said.

The Dutch Cut system is the ideal finishing solution for high volume cutting, separation, and delivery production processes. The system allows for maximum sheet utilization with an even or odd number of image impositions, maximizing printing efficiency. The system converts large sheets into single pages, in one process, with two delivery stations.

Challenge:

Additionally, TPSi sought a compatible solution to convert output from their HP Indigo 15K press. They wanted to eliminate outsourcing of die-cutting and have the ability to expand their product offerings.

Solution:

Rollem provided a sample packet of high-value products all produced on various Insignia models. They educated the team on the flexible die process of creating and ordering dies, along with videos and training to set up and change from job-to-job.

“Adding our Indigo 15K press with its B2 capacity expanded our print capacity, requiring a compatible sized die-cutter. We found the Insignia7H Die-cutter met all our needs and has enabled us to increase production on products such as business cards, door hangers, pocket folders, and folding cartons. We are pleased to have Rollem as a finishing partner provider for TPSI,” concluded Iskander.

The Insignia7H Die-cutter is suitable for both offset and digital presses with a B2 format and is ideal for HP Indigo presses. Its capabilities include die-cutting, kiss-cutting, embossing, perforating, creasing, and hole punching, helping maintain in-house operations. The Dual Magnetic Configuration offers multiple application variations and is especially ideal for users looking to produce packaging products, folding carton work, and cut thicker materials.

The Insignia7H model (sheet size 30x24”) cuts up to 24 pt. thickness and utilizes dies that are produced at tolerances of less than 0.001”/0.02mm. Insignia die cutters are proudly made in the U.S.A. They are sold direct from Rollem International and supported regionally by our qualified technicians.
