ProCon Appoints Claudio Muñoz as Vice President of Innovation, Sales and Marketing

Progressive Converting, Inc. (ProCon) announces the appointment of Claudio Muñoz as the new Vice President of Innovation, Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Muñoz will join the senior leadership team and lead the growth and innovation strategies for ProCon’s Vireo® coating business.

Muñoz brings nearly two decades of global experience in the paper industry, with expertise spanning both technical and commercial domains. His deep understanding of fiber and polymer technology, paper production and strategic brand management has been honed through his previous tenure at industry leaders such as Kimberly Clark, Körber Tissue and Advanced Micro Devices.

“We are thrilled to welcome Claudio to our team,” said Jeff Carew, President of the Vireo® coating business unit. “His extensive experience and knowledge will be instrumental in driving the expansion and development of our coating business.”

Muñoz says, “I am excited to join ProCon and to contribute to the growth of our sustainable coating business. With the global demand for sustainable packaging rising across all sectors, the Vireo® coatings are uniquely positioned to replace traditional plastic formats and coatings, significantly reducing the carbon footprint in packaging solutions.”

Muñoz holds advanced degrees in materials science and forest products science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Guadalajara, as well as a chemical engineering degree from the University of Concepción in Chile.
