Avery Dennison Names Mark B. Miller Vice President, Marketing

Avery Dennison announced the appointment of Mark B. Miller as vice president, marketing for the company’s label and packaging materials, North America division based in Mentor, Ohio.
As Avery Dennison continues to expand its marketplace leadership by understanding and responding to customers’ needs, Mark brings to the company more than 20 years of global senior leadership and marketing experience. He assumed the role on December 7.
Mark’s wealth of senior leadership experience includes strategic planning and market development, P&L accountability, mergers and acquisitions, and organization building. His most recent role was general manager and vice president, global professional markets, for SC Johnson.
He led a multiphase strategy for the acquisition of Deb Holdings, which increased the business’ global market opportunity to $45 billion, and oversaw the development of 70 products. He also served as vice president of marketing for Ecolab, where he drove sales and marketing strategies. Mark’s other positions have included marketing roles at Graco, 3M, and Hewlett-Packard.
Mark has a business degree from California State University, Sacramento, and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley, Walter A. Haas School of Business.
