Elite Cameron, Inc. Supplies New Tape Slitter to Nu-Source, Inc.

Elite Cameron, Inc. manufacturer of the Elite Cameron range of slitting and rewinding, coating and laminating machines recently supplied its latest generation slitter rewinder to Nu-Source, Inc.

Nu-Source is a converter and supplier of a variety of aluminium foil and polyester tapes located in Phoenix, Arizona.  The company took installation of the CW250 center-wind slitter in late 2019 and have been running it extensively.

“Perfect roll quality,” comments Herb Dunphy, owner of Nu-Source.  “We have never produced this level of quality. We are very happy and impressed with Elite Cameron.”

The CW250 Elite Cameron slitter was designed with both razor and shear slitting, automatic knife setting, automatic tab application and duplex differential rewinding.  It also has the ability to remove a liner during unwinding, or apply a liner prior to slitting.  For the small diameter and narrow width (1”) tapes, the machine was also supplied with core boxes to assist with the re-coring, keeping downtime to a minimum.

“It’s been a great partnership with Nu-Source right from the beginning,” says Rob McNamee, business development manager for Elite Cameron. “As we discussed the requirements, we developed a machine that is ideal for their mix of tapes and films.  This machine is an excellent solution for converting tape.”
