K 2019 on Track to Success

CHICAGO, IL | Messe Düsseldorf North America says it expects K 2019, to repeat the successful performance of K 2016. Subtitled “The World’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber,” the show takes place October 16–23, 2019, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Organizers says it will provide strong impetus for future technical developments with the exhibitor’s innovations and many accompanying events focusing on the interconnection among the digital world, production processes, and new product developments. 
Approximately 3,000 exhibitors will participate in the global flagship trade fair, and companies from all over the world will present their latest products in the following categories:
- Raw materials and auxiliaries
- Semi-finished goods, technical components, and reinforced plastic products
- Machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industries
Werner M. Dornscheidt, CEO and president of Messe Düsseldorf, and his team says they are delighted that companies from the plastics and rubber segment have again selected K as the platform for their corporate success. “Registration for K 2019 is still possible until May 31, 2018, and we promise to accommodate all participation requests that we receive by the deadline, even if that means compromising on booth size. One thing is already clear: K will again provide a comprehensive overview of the global market. Thanks to its unrivalled internationality, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors, and because it covers a unique product and service range, this triennial trade show has a special status among global trade shows and provides the perfect stage for pioneering presentations.“
Organizers add that the special status of K 2019 is not only reflected by the impressive feedback from the global industry but also by addressing the most important issues concerning the industry. The special show “Plastics shape the future” will introduce pioneering areas of application for polymer materials and examine how these materials with their diverse properties affect modern environments. At the “Science Campus,” university and research organizations will present current activities and result—this is where research meets the economy.
Over the next few months, the Science Council and its sub-committees will define the key topics to be addressed by the special show and the Science Campus. They will focus on innovative materials and technologies with a substantial impact on global challenges such as water, energy and waste management, resource efficiency, digitization, and sustainable development.
Currently being prepared as well are events such as presentations focusing on the training and development in the plastics and rubber industries as well as on the subject of additive production.
