TAPPI's 2001 Engineering & Converting Conference Now Slated for December 2001

NORCROSS, GA, USA—TAPPI is pleased to announce the 2001 Engineering and Finishing and Converting Conference and Trade Fair has been rescheduled. The new dates are December 2 through 6, 2001, at the Marriott Rivercenter, San Antonio, TX, USA. The organization made the decision to reschedule the original conference dates (September 16 through the 20) due to the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

"Our goal has always been to provide a high-quality conference that will highlight the important interrelationship between the engineering and finishing and converting disciplines," says the assn. "We feel these new dates will allow us to meet your—and our—high expectations. Some sessions might change, but we expect to have the complete technical program, with session times, available at tappi.org."

TAPPI says if you were registered for the original dates, then you will be registered for the new conference dates automatically. However, you will need to make new hotel reservations. Rates at the Marriott Rivercenter are $148 per single/double occupany room. If you are unable to attend the San Antonio venue for any reason, contact TAPPI for a full refund. "Those that have requested a refund should be receiving it shortly," adds TAPPI officials.

For new conference registrants, TAPPI is offering the original member price of $615, non-member price $925, through the start of the December 2nd event.
