OMET/Durst Press Combines Digital and Flexo

LECCO, ITALY | OMET reports the Durst Tau 330/XFLEX X6 hybrid press, described as a digital flexo solution that merges all the advantages of the two printing technologies in one single pass.

The press features include the following:

• 330-mm (13-in.) print width
• 48-mpm maximum speed
• 1,260-dpi resolution
• Seven-color stations
• 90% Pantone color gamut coverage

Combining digital and conventional technologies in the same workflow, press is said to be an opportunity for converters who do not want to invest in multiple presses.

Company says it allows label converters to produce, in one pass, all types of labels with fast job setup.
