AccuWeb Edge Detectors Keep Advancing

MADISON, WI | AccuWeb reports its WideArray Edge Detectors have evolved with advanced capabilities. 

Company says original patented technology allows for fully compensated, self-adjusting edge detection that can overcome ambient dust, changes in temperature and humidity, web flutter, passline variances, and other environmental factors.

With advances, both ultrasonic and infrared models have been designed to detect accurately any web material regardless of opacity. Intrinsically safe models are available for use in Class 1, Division 1 Group C&D hazardous environments.

Most recently, a single WideArray edge detector can now centerline guide narrow webs to 18 in. when integrated with company’s new EVO 150 controller with DualEdge technology.

Edge detectors are available with detection ranges from 1.2 in. (30 mm) to 18.4 in. (467 mm).
