LaserSharp Partners with Karlville

VADNAIS HTS. MN | LaserSharp FlexPak Services announces a new alliance with Karlville Development Group, Miami, FL, to deliver affordable laser converting to flexible packaging manufacturers in the southeast US, Caribbean, and South America. 

Karlville is a global machinery manufacturer for the converting and packaging industries with established service and manufacturing operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. A demonstration system consisting of a Karlville slitter/rewinder and LaserSharp laser processing system will be installed within Karlville’s new facility in Miami in December 2015. Company says FlexPak-Miami will deliver laser contract manufacturing services and laser equipment sales to satisfy the increased demand for laser perforating and scoring for flexible packaging in the region.

The demonstration system will be available for confidential package design and testing, prototyping, laser contract manufacturing, and equipment demonstrations to offer customers multiple flexible packaging solutions using LaserSharp technology. 

LaserSharp says its technology is able perform high-speed laser micro-perforations, precision scoring, cutting, and marking. Demonstration systems located in Karlville’s Miami facility will integrate LaserSharp technology in Karlville’s slitter/rewinder and pouch machines.
