Blue Ridge Enters Gable-Top Carton Packaging Alliance with Italpack Cartons

CANTON, NC, USA—Blue Ridge Paper Products Inc. says it has recently signed an agreement with Italpack Cartons (Italcartons) of Lacedonia, Italy. According to the North Carolina-based paper and carton supplier, it will provide Italpack with 100% of the Italian manufacturer's paperboard needs as well as sales, technical support, and marketing expertise for the manufacturing and sales of gable-top carton packaging.

Blue Ridge says Italcartons manufactures lithographic printed gable-top cartons for both Pure Pak and Rex style packaging. The Lacedonia-based converter also has the capability to produce gable-top cartons with liquid-tight transparent windows.

"The agreement gives Blue Ridge Paper Products and Italcartons an integrated 'info-structure' to market gable-top packaging in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East," states a Blue Ridge press release. Blue Ridge VP and GM Phillip Bowen will join Italpack Cartons' board of directors to ensure close cooperation between the two companies, adds the US paper supplier/converter.
