BURNSVILLE, MN | Telstar Engineering offers a multi-lane unwind said to be ideal for supplying narrow ribbons of magnetic
stripe, foil, or reinforcement tape. Each lane is individually tensioned with a simple mechanical brake arm assembly. A grooved Teflon block rides over the edge of a backer plate providing lane guiding and very light tension. Lanes can be spaced as close as 1 in. apart.
Company also offers an unwind/rewind designed for bridge mounting on a press to supply hot/cold foil and laminate webs. The unwind features a pneumatic brake with LOCO facings for smooth draw at low tensions. The rewind is driven with a variable-speed drive and pneumatic clutch, also with LOCO facings.
