PMMI Purchases Summit Media Group

RESTON, VA | PMMI, The Assn. for Packaging and Processing Technologies has purchased Summit Media Group, publisher of Packaging World, Automation World, Healthcare Packaging, and Contract Packaging. PMMI is the owner and producer of the PACK EXPO portfolio of trade shows, The final sale closed Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, according to PMMI president and CEO Charles D. Yuska.

“We are quite pleased to welcome the Summit team to the PMMI family,” says Yuska. “Summit has a well-deserved reputation for excellence, and its collection of industry publications and web presence will help us to further engage buyers and sellers. Combined with the PACK EXPO portfolio of trade shows, we’ll be able to help key players in the industry stay engaged all year long.”

The Summit Media Group staff, members of the PMMI staff as of Nov. 1, 2014, will maintain their Chicago-area office.
