Glenroy a Six-Time Winner for Flexo Printing

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI | Glenroy took home six awards for flexographic printing at the 2014 Graphics Excellence Awards of the Great Lakes Graphics Assn. (GLGA), an affiliate of Printing Industries of America.
The company reports its specialty as a flexible packaging converter and printer, is producing ten-color flexo printing on a variety of substrates.
Competing with more than 1,000 entries, Glenroy won "Best of Category" awards for Mederma Scar Gel in the category of Flexo - Wide Web, Process and for Snuggle Exhilarations in the category of Flexo - Wide Web, Screen. Glenroy was also awarded two "Awards of Excellence" in the category of Flexo - Wide Web, Screen for Hask Healing Masque and Kirkland Laundry Detergent, as well as two "Awards of Excellence" in the category of Flexo - Wide Web, Process for Senscience Silk Moisture and Satinique Glossy Repair Shampoo & Conditioner.
Each entry in the competition was judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery, and overall visual impact.
