Channeled Resources Group Applies for Green Tier Program

CHICAGO, IL | Channeled Resources Group/MaraTech has applied to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the Green Tier program for its manufacturing plant in Marathon, WI. The plant is involved in converting and reprocessing specialty papers and films.

DNR is holding a 30-day public comment period in which stakeholders, neighbors, customers, vendors, and others have the opportunity to give feedback on Channeled Resources Group/MaraTech’s application. These comments ultimately contribute to DNR’s final decision on the acceptance or denial of the applicant.

Wisconsin’s Green Tier program seeks to encourage businesses to move beyond regulatory compliance in order to achieve superior environmental performance. Participation in this program is voluntary.

Channeled Resources Group/MaraTech has applied for Tier 1 status within the program. In order to be accepted, the company needs to have a good environmental record, a desire to exceed regulatory requirements, and a willingness to adopt an Environmental Management System.
