Specialty Packaging Acquires MARK C Specialties

EAST WINDSOR, CT | Specialty Packaging, a national supplier of packaging products, equipment, parts and service, has acquired MARK C Specialties, Rockville, CT, which has been selling and servicing packaging equipment throughout New England for more than 25 years.

MARK C has also supplied its customers with a wide variety of tapes, stretch films, and shrink films, as well as machine-grade strap. “MARK C Specialties is well known in our industry,” according to Specialty Packaging managing partner Keith Streib. “The company has solid product lines and a good reputation. The purchase will enable us to build our customer base, add new product lines, and continue growing.”

All current employees of MARK C will be retained, and operations will be moved from Rockville to Specialty Packaging’s Distribution Center in East Windsor. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Streib says one reason for making the acquisition is that there is almost no overlap in the accounts the two companies serve. Specialty Packaging hopes to not only continue serving MARK C’s accounts but to offer them additional products and services.
