Durst Metallic UV Ink Suited for Short Runs

BRIXEN, ITALY | Durst Phototechnik offers solvent-free metallic silver UV ink for use in a wide range of digital label and package printing decoration applications. The newly designed metallic silver UV ink can be used with company’s Tau 330 as well as with previous Tau models such as the Tau 150-8C, reportedly offering excellent print quality on a selected range of substrates, with reliable and consistent print performance, good adhesion, and durability.

The new ink, in combination with the Tau UV inkjet label presses, allows printing speeds between 20 and 30 linear mpm (65 and 95 fpm). The company’s solvent-free digital metallic UV inkjet technology is said to make digital metallic printing and decoration economically feasible for short and medium runs.
