NASHUA, NH | NimCor's line of small diameter air shafts are claimed ideal for special converting applications. Unique, custom-engineered shafts are said to achieve critical performance and strength parameters that are needed for safe and efficient winding on small diameter cores. Steel bodies provide strength, aluminum bodies are used for reduced weight. Button patterns and configurations are recommended according to each application. Diameters as small as 5/8 in. (1.6 cm) are common. Small-diameter shafts for thin wall core or coreless applications are available as well as leaf shafts down to 1.25-in. (3.2 cm) dia. Company also says it manufactures a line of full-size air shafts for cores up to 12 in. (30.5 cm) in dia.
