The LRO Advanced Optical Cleaning Kit was created for CO₂ optics to extend the working life of lenses and improve laser performance and efficiency. Proper lens cleaning reportedly will improve the transmission of CO₂ laser optics and prolong their life; especially those exposed to spatter in harsh industrial environments.
