Pentawards Ceremony To Recognize Creativity & Design Excellence

PASSADENA, CA | To demonstrate its support of industry development and innovation, Avery Dennison has sponsored a category in the 2010 Pentawards. The special AveryDennison prize will be announced during the Pentawards ceremony, which will be held on September 30 at the World Expo 2010 site in Shanghai, China.

Avery Dennison sees sponsorship of the Wine, Champagne and Spirits category as an effective way of recognizing and encouraging creativity and design excellence. It is part of the company’s ongoing commitment in supporting the growth of the self-adhesive label industry and ensuring that brand owners have access to eye-catching new technologies that will make their products stand out in the marketplace.    

As well as receiving the Pentawards trophy and certificate, the winner of the wine, champagne or spirits categories will have the opportunity of designing a new set of front, back and neck labels for wine or spirits. A limited number of the labels will be printed, with acknowledgement of the designer, Avery Dennison and the printer on the back label. This part of the prize is valued at up to €6,000.
