Mark Andy Honored for Innovation

ST. LOUIS, MO | Mark Andy took top honors in the Equipment Category at the FlexoTech International Print & Innovation Awards ceremony in London recently. The winning entry was the Mark Andy ProLED, a UV LED curing solution developed in cooperation with Flint Inks and Phoseon Technology and is now available for fitment to new and existing Mark Andy presses. 

The Judges criteria for this category were stated as follows: “clear innovation, not merely an evolution of existing technology, and available to the majority of the market at affordable prices, by bringing a new approach to an existing technique.”

Reading the Judges’ citation for the winning entry, Awards’ presenter Fred MaCauley said: “The winning entry moves the game on in terms of efficiency, offering reduced running costs, improved reliability, lower waste levels and a reduced carbon footprint, as well as providing an improved working environment for the operator.”

Accepting the award on behalf of Mark Andy were international sales director, Mike Russell, and European sales director, Tom Cavalco, who said, “Mark Andy is proud to be acknowledged as a technology leader in the market, and this is being reflected in machine sales, with 2013 heading towards a record year for the company in Europe.”

The 2013 FlexoTech Award is the fifth innovation win by Mark Andy in recent years.
