AWA to Offer Release Liner Conference

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS | AWA Alexander Watson Associates says the Global Release Liner Industry Conference & Exhibition 2016, to be held in Vienna, Austria, April 13–15, will bring new features to this established industry forum and meeting point for the world’s release liner industry.

Dean Scarborough, chairman and CEO of Avery Dennison, will keynote the conference by discussing two key aspects of the pressure-sensitive industry today: opportunities and sustainability. Opening day will also feature a real-time industry survey with the delegates and Corey M. Reardon, president and CEO of AWA, delivering the “instant” results.

Also on day one will be a release liner recycling workshop and focus group that features an update on current status from FINAT, examining key issues and opportunities in terms of recycling and sustainability and the importance of liner recycling to lower environmental impact, ending with a discussion and a call to action.

A central feature of the conference program is the executive leadership panel discussion, and to enable delegates to pursue their special interests, an afternoon of concurrent sessions offers a choice: an innovation workshop or a discussion on successful leadership today.

The formal conference program will be completed with expert speakers across release liner’s many end-use market areas, from labels to graphics, medical, specialty tapes, and industrial applications, as well as supplier updates

Rounding out the event will be a tabletop exhibition and extensive networking opportunities.
