ROLLING MEADOWS, IL | Screen Americas reports the company has tested and approved a diverse array of pressure-sensitive label materials manufactured by Spinnaker Coating, Troy, OH, for use in the Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press.
Reportedly, ten Spinnaker facestocks exhibited the measurable print performance, runnability, and adhesion that would give Screen customers the image quality, fine text, and high speeds they need. Among the approved face stocks are Semi Gloss Paper, 2.0 mil TC Clear BOPP, 2.3 mil TC White BOPP, 2.0 mil Bright Silver Metallized BOPP, Holographic Rainbow PET, and others. The ten facestocks translate to just over 60 constructions, and all are available as trimless constructions with a 3-in.-wide and 5,000-ft-long single roll minimum.
“The Truepress Jet L350UV excels at being able to produce a wide range of labels on many substrates,” said Ken Ingram, VP of sales and marketing at Screen Americas. “Compatibility of the paper with the production inkjet device is the key to ensuring that every job runs flawlessly. Spinnaker does an exceptional job of keeping up with digital printing technology, the printing process, and the requirements of the label market.”
“As we continue to grow our digital portfolio, we are excited to build this partnership with Screen Americas,” says Joel Ulrich, Spinnaker digital market manager. “Spinnaker is committed to working with equipment manufacturers like Screen to develop label stock for the newer digital print platforms. With higher performance digital presses becoming more widespread, it is critical for our customers’ success that Spinnaker’s portfolio offers the best results.”
